Another love of mine is being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In including my beliefs, I am sharing who I am and what I believe in. And yes, as much as is applicable to story line, I hope to share my beliefs and testimony in this way. In writing Alisha’s story, I’ve had ideas for other books. Whether I continue to write and they all include LDS aspects, I’m not sure yet. Let me see where this trilogy and inspiration heads me and I’ll let you know! But yes, I am boastful of LDS beliefs, because I have a testimony. As I write, I am also personally studying the Book of Mormon, other scripture and also building my own testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith not only saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ in what we as Latter-day Saints refer to as “The First Vision” but also played a marvelous role in the ushering in of the gospel in the Latter-days, which included transcribing the Book of Mormon, serving as a second testament of Jesus Christ to the world!
I want you to know that I have a testimony that I belong to the true church on the earth today. As my testimony grows through study, my goal is to share that testimony with you, in the setting of a fun, fictitious book.
