Little Sister, Book One

     Sutton and Riley; from past mistakes to presently being opponents, they have their differences. But they do have something in common; a best friend named Jason and his little sister Alisha, who they’ve each fallen for.  While one appoints himself as her protector, the other is there just to flirt with her.  From basketball to elections to applying to medical school, the intensity is high and disagreements flare.  With Jason as a mutual friend, they must come to middle ground. 
     While Alisha stands between the two of them, she is also able to be there for each of them through personal struggles.  Riley comes from a broken family, his father an alcoholic and his mother unemployed and withdrawn, after suffering from years of abuse.  Sutton, who has moved in next door with his father, is quiet and mysteriously  refuses to discuss his mother, who left when he was younger.
     And then to add to it, there’s Sutton’s friend Molly.  Beautiful dark hair, a flawless complexion, perfectly white teeth, smart, a voice like an angel…and about the nicest girl Alisha has ever met.  To top it off, Molly and Alisha are both in love with Sutton, who has his eye on nothing but medical school.
     Alisha’s crush at nine years old blossoms throughout a story that will not only have you turning pages, but will warm your heart.  In a southern, small-town setting and with a Protestant upbringing, scattered throughout the story are seeds of those who are open to the possibility of there being greater truth that what they now have.
     Little Sister; the first book of a Trilogy, is the story of Alisha, who grows up with her brother and his two best friends.  Having fallen in love, will she always be too young?
